Annette Groth is a Member of Parliament in the German Bundestag and Human Rights Policy Spokeswoman for the LEFT Party Parliamentary Group.
She serves on the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee, as well on the Economic Cooperation and Development Committee.
From 1992 to 1997 she worked as Education Officer with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Geneva. From 1997 to 1999 she was Director of the Ecumenical Coalition on Third World Tourism (ECTWT) and Editor of the quarterly journal CONTOURS in Barbados.
She is a member of the NGO attac, and chair of the German-Greek Parliamentary Friendship Group of the Bundestag.
