The Freedom Flotilla was brutally stopped in international waters on May 31, our ships confiscated and many passengers killed and wounded. The Israeli spin machine is busy telling the world that our non-violent supporters started the fight, even though many of us watched the Israeli paramilitary troops live as they landed on the deck of the Marmara, looked at each other, then began shooting. The attack happened at 4:30 am when everyone was sleeping. Nine men were murdered with 31 bullets, many directly between the eyes or through the top of their heads or in the back. Our passengers were kidnapped and forced into holding cells for 24 hours with little to no contact with the outside world, as Israel tried to spin the story that they had the right to attack us in international waters, murder nine men and wound over 50 passengers on board all six boats.
Five days later, the MV Rachel Corrie was also illegally boarded in international waters, her passengers forced to sit in the sun for several hours as Israeli commandos forced her into Ashdod.
Thank you to all who have supported this mission and the Palestinians besieged in Gaza, with the generosity of people from all over the world we filled the MV Rachel Corrie with 550 tons of cement, 20 tons of paper for printing school books, 25 tons of school supplies, 12 tons of sports equipment and 150 tons of medical supplies. The week of August 2, the supplies were finally beginning to be delivered to the UN facilities in Gaza. Israel lied about its ability to deliver anything from Ashdod as it lied about the attack. Israel illegally blockades the people of Gaza, and we are going back with a bigger fleet in the fall.

'The residents of the Gaza Strip, like the citizens of Israel and of any other country in the world, have the right to maintain direct contacts with the outside world - to leave their country and return to it, to develop their economy, to import the products they need and export their own produce to anyone who wants to buy it, without asking or needing for permission from Israel, Egypt or any other country.
Only through the sea can Palestinians control imports of urgently needed supplies and exports of their products.
