(02.08.2008) Two sailing boats carrying 40 activists from 16 countries are to leave Cyprus next week bound for Gaza in a bold bid to breach an Israeli blockade of the Palestinian territory. The Free Gaza Movement hopes the boats, due to set sail with up to 45 people on board, will draw attention to the plight of 1.4 million Palestinians suffering chronic shortages of many essentials from fuel to food since an Israeli crackdown.
